How to promote a website or blog?

Website promotion, blog is the main chalange main fight, one of the essential pieces of the puzzle of existence on the Internet. Why? For every webmaster or blog owner wants to be better than its competition, and wants the website, blog or to be visited more, to have traffic.
Each webmaster or blog-er has an interest or wants to sell something, or want to promote an affiliate program that is, to have referrals or wrote articles he wants to be as read, or want to occupy a place good or a top ranking, or want to have more friends with similar interests.
